What is all this Smokeless Zone DEFRA stuff about?

The "Clean Air Act of 1993" is in enforced by DEFRA across a number of built up areas across the UK. Its aim is to reduce the impact of smoke and particulates from burning fuels that exhaust into the atmosphere. In a smoke control zone only specific Smoke Exempt appliances can be installed and only suitable fuels burnt.

The stoves below are compliant with the current regulations (at the time of writing) and therefore DEFRA approved for use in Smoke Control Areas. Prior to purchase however we would always reccomend customers to check what their local restrictions are in relation to a Smoke Control Zone
