Origo 1500 single burner spirit hob, ideal for confined spaces and smaller boats...

The Origo range of spirit burners and hobs provide an excellent alternative to gas (LPG) cooking and heating, the range offers the following advantages:

  • 316 stainless steel construction, tough enough to withstand the marine environmnet.
  • With Origo you can have a gas free boat!
  • You wont need all the gas storage and pipework needed for an LPG cooker or hob 
  • The Origo 1500 has a single burner for cooking on.
  • It is very economical on spirit and uses no 12v at all.
  • Excellent longterm reliability. Burning spirit is simple, clean and reliable.
  • BSS compliant when fitted correctly

Single burner spirit hob

  • One burner (2000w, 7000 BTU/hr)
  • The burner is fully controllable throughout its heat range
  • Fuel - denatured alcohol or Methylated spirits
  • Origo burner fuel capacity is 1.2L
  • The burner will last approx 4.5 hours at full heat on 1.2L of fuel
  • 316 stainless steel construction
  • Each Origo burner can bring 1 Liter of water to the boil in ten minutes!

Origo Burners

All the Origo products work from the same patented burners. The stainless steel container is contanins a non flammable wool material, the fuel is simply poured in, the wool absorbs and binds the fuel. Then when the burner is lit natural capillary action draws the fuel to the surface where it is burnt off in a controlled manner.

Each Origo product will have a very similar method of controlling the heat, its very simple, simply turn the regulator, ignite and start cooking!.
