Why Buy a Kabola diesel fired stove? Diesel fired natural draught stoves make a great alternative to solid fuel stoves or more complicated diesel heaters. Some of the major advantages of going diesel fired are: - No more carrying solid fuel (wood or coal).
- A consistent controlable setting / heat output that you control (we have customers who keep the stoves ticking over consistently for between 2 days and 2 months!). No more freezing cold then boiling hot with all the windows open, you can set the heat output to what suits you!.
- Service requirements for the stoves are very simple. There are no moving parts, all a service really involves is a jolly good clean of the burner and flue to restore a full and healthy flow of air.
- Neither Kabola Old Dutch, Kabola 2D and Kabola 3D use any 12v power (unless a backboiler circulation pump, electric fuel pump or blown air circulation fan [3D only] are used).
- Kabola natural draught diesel fired stoves are perfect for Narrowboats, Dutch Barges and many other boats that dont heel over (e.g sailing boats).

What fittings do I need to fit a Kabola stove? A natural draught stove works on the principles of evaportation of hot diesel, a flame burning using oxygen pulled into the burner by hot air rising up the flue (a natural draught). In order to create this natural draught when fitting a Kabola Old Dutch, Kabola 2D or Kabola 3D you need the correct flue components. The fitting kits detailed on our website are Kabola and Kuranda supplied components designed to maximise the airflow through the burner by preserving the heat of the exhaust gasses right to the top of the chimney. An existing flue, roof collar and chimney from a solid fuel stove CANNOT be used with a Kabola natural draught stove. If you wish to fit the blown air option then the following equipment is needed: - 12v Blown air motor (switch not supplied)
- Hot air ducting (supplied by the metre)
