What is Automatic-Start-Up

To put it simply this feature incorporates a "cold storage plate" and sophisticated compressor management system into the standard cruise design. Effectivley the fridge freezer will be prioritised to run the compressor when the boat engine is running, hence there is plenty of power available (which may well have been wasted anyway). The "cold" is effectivley stored for later use by cooling the "cold storage plate" down to a very low temperature, this will then keep the fridge freezer cold for an extended period of time without the compressor running. Finally, once the "cold storage plate" is exhausted the compressor will start again, however the management system will work to activley minimise the power consumption and drain on the battery bank.

The ASU fridge freezers have a remote panel that allows you to set the unit to Manual or Normal / Auto, and has an LED display to show the status of the system.

For all the clever science, basically the Automatic Start Up fridges can save as much as 30% on power consumption in comparison to a standard Cruise model.
