Wallas Blown air heaters FAQ
Can I use my existing Eberspacher fuel take off and exhaust with a new Wallas? No, Wallas products are designed and warranted to work with Wallas Fuel supply systems and Wallas Exhaust systems. How do I fit the fuel take off for a Wallas?Same as for the ovens, only slightly altered where necessary. How do I wire in the 12v power supply?Same as for the ovens, only slightly altered where necessary. How often will a Wallas need servicing?Wallas have a specified service interval of 500 hours. Upon service the burner will be cleaned and all necessary consumables replaced, think of it like servicing your car, all complex machines need a little bit of TLC to keep performing correctly. What is the difference between a Wallas 30D and Wallas 40D?The Wallas 30D is a 3kw heater, whereas the Wallas 40D is a 4kw heater. The 30D has a balanced flue and so draws its combustion air from outside the boat, the 40D draws its combustion air from the environment its mounted in. The Wallas 30D sucks air in through the grill in the side of its body and blows it down the outlet tubes and into the cabin, the Wallas 40D has air inlet tubes connected so that it will draw air from wherever you want it to. Where can I mount a Wallas 30D?The 30D should really be mounted in the cabin space, cockpit or a (very) well ventilated cupboard, it is not suitable to be mounted in the engine compartment. Where can I mount a Wallas 40D?The 40D can be mounted in the cabin space, cockpit or engine room / compartment. Where would I run the exhaust for a Wallas on an inland boat?Same as for the ovens, only slightly altered where necessary.
