Kalori Silencia FAI 1.7kw heater matrix

Please have a read through the information below, hopefully weve covered alot of what you would need to know. But please feel free to give us a call and we would be very happy to talk through how you could incorporate this into a heating system and what may be right fo you (01353 663095).

Basically it is a radiator (a bit like the one that cools your car engine), it has a fan behind it that blows air across the radiator elements. If you plumb a heater matrix into your hot water heating system then it will take heat from the water and give you blown air heating. The easist way to think of it is like the blowers in your car only larger.

These heaters are ideal for people who have a hot water heating system and:

  • Have confined space and so dont want to have wall mounted (normal) radiators
  • Want a controllable and switchable way to control the heat in different parts of the boat
  • Perhaps want a mix of normal radiators and blown air heating
  • People who want blown air heating but dont want to route 76mm ducting through the boat (its alot easier to run a 22mm pipe
  • Basically they give you the flexibility to tailor a hot water heating system to suit your needs, you could have just Kalori heaters, or a mix of Kalori and normal radiators.
  • You could put  3 of these units onto a Eberspacher Hydronic D5, you simply add up the KW as you would when calculating how many radiators you'd need.

Heat output = 1.7kw

Pipe connection sizes = 16mm dia (use radiator hose to join to 15mm dia hep2o pipe)

12v Consumption = 7W at 12v (that is very low!)

Noise = 44DB

Control = 2 speed fan (off / low / high)

A really clever idea is to use a "Pipe-Stat", its a switch that you clip onto the hot water input to the kalori, when the water reaches a pre set temperature (set easily on the pipe stat) it will switch on the fan, then when the water cools it will switch off the fan. Its easy, cheap and convenient. If you would like to chat through any of this please feel free to give us a call on 01353 663095
