As boaters ourselves we saw these and thought they were a brilliant idea. For all those people who have stood out on the back deck of a boat on a cold day when everybody seems to disappear inside, this is the fleece for you!.
The bodywarmer fleece design can be worn as an outer garment or under a coat. Its unisex design and casual styling makes it ideal for boaters, dog walkers, people who work outside, in fact just about anyone who spends their time in a cold environment but doesnt want to wear a huge coat.
The fleece are made from 100% polyester fibre on the outside, and 100% polyamide fibre (nylon) on the inside, so they are warm anyway, however the clever bit is the heating system.

The fleece has three pads in total, one on either side of the chest, and a large one across the lower back and kidneys. The pads are infra red heating elements, without getting too technical they operate on low voltage, offering efficient, safe heat for a long period of time. When the pads get warm they feel like a warm hot water bottle on the areas in contact with your body, lovely and cosy.

The battery sits in a pocket on the left hand side of the fleece, allowing you easy access to turn it on or off, adjust the heat level, or see how much battery life you have left.
As with any battery product, how long the battery lasts depends on how much power you use. The figures below are based on typical medium usage (using the fleece on heat levels 2-3), that is normally hot enough for most people (trust me, I wear one to work every day).
The small battery will last approximatley 5 hours
The large battery will last approximatley 9 hours
The batteries take about 2-3 hours to charge
The batteries will last 500+ discharge cycles, thats atleast 3 winters of heavy use for most people
