The inner skin is slid inside the chimney (from the bottom) before sitting the chimney on the roof collar. The inner skin sits inside the opening of the roof collar acting like a funnel. As condensation runs down the inside of the chimney it is guided harmlessly back down into the flue and stove rather than down the outside of the collr and your boat.
