Excellent longterm reliability. Burning gas is alot simpler and cleaner than burning diesel in a blown air heater and the Propex heatsource range of heaters dont have a number of the problems diesel blown air heaters experience.
The Propex blown air marine heaters are "Room sealed". They draw combustion air from the outside air, and exhaust into the outside air without using any for the combustion process.

The Propex HS2000 LPG blown air heater can be fitted up to one, two or three outlets. The kit detailed on this page has a single outlet, in order to add an extra outlet all you need to do is purchase an extra outlet kit (which will aslso be detailed on this site).
The important things to remember when routing ducting are the following:
The longer the length of ducting, the more heat will be lost through the walls of the pipe rather than supplied to the blown air outlet (insulation can aleviate this problem)
The greater the number of outlets fitted to the Propex heater, the greater number of times the heat output is being divided, hence the smaller heat ouput per outlet.
Atleast one outlet needs to be open at all times, therefore in a single outlet kit the outlet vent is directional but not closeable. Additonal outlets supplied can be directional and closeable.
Being room sealed the Propex blown air heaters can be mounted in a locker or bed box or engine room (in some cases). BUT there are safety considerations that need to be observed when mounting any gas combustion product. The main jobs involved in fitting a marine blown air heater are:
Mounting the main unit
Running and connecting the gas (LPG) supply
Drilling and fitting the exhaust skin fitting and connecting the exhaust and air intake
Connecting the wiring harness to a suitable 12v supply
Running the ducting and mounting the outlet vent(s)
Mounting and connecting the thermostat / controls
